I was born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia and I received my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia. I attended law school at the University of Alberta and received my LLB in 2008. I completed the Canadian Securities Course in 2008 and articled with a boutique securities firm in Vancouver. I was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2009 and I joined Henderson Heinrichs as an associate in the Spring of 2010.
Since joining the team at Henderson Heinrichs, I have practiced family law at the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. I am a qualified collaborative law professional and an accredited family law mediator. I handle all aspects of family law, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Collaborative law;
- Cohabitation agreements;
- Pre-nuptial agreements;
- Post-nuptial agreements;
- Separation agreements;
- Assisted Reproduction arrangements;
- Obtaining a declaration of parentage;
- Custody, guardianship and access disputes – including high conflict issues;
- Child and spousal support issues including retroactive issues; and,
- Property settlements and division including complicated corporate assets and high net worth individuals.
I appreciate that this process is both overwhelming and highly emotional for most people and so I am committed to a family law practice that helps my clients quickly and efficiently though difficult periods in their lives. I have a strong belief in a client-centered practice and in creative solutions which allows me to tailor my approach to meet each client’s particular needs.
In my spare time you will find me spending time with my family, my friends and Sydney (my Great Dane). I enjoy traveling, being active, and amazing food and wine.
